psalm_onethirtyoneTo-day was a bit of a crisis, in a small-scale way.
I'm not sure what happened, but by five o'clock I was sobbing hysterically all over Mum and sort of wailing all the random unimportant things that were stressing me. Then da' came in and looked at us blankly.
"Julie?"
"She had a bad day."
"Oh! I didn't know that."
After which he proceeded to sit down and pay bills. There are at least four other rooms he could do that in; but no. He will sit on the porch with me gasping like a gutted fish in the background. Almost immediately, Mum said she had to chart, and I pulled ahold of myself enough to say I'd go out and run my laps. But honestly, one would think he'd go inside to do his paperwork instead of listening to me cry and list my miseries. It was sort of embarrassing.
Anyway, I ran my laps and harvested pumpkins. Pumpkins are now in; the first corn crop is out; raspberries are coming to an end; potatoes aren't ready yet; blueberries and gooseberries are done; broccoli and cauliflower and onions are in.
