I got my second TB shots to-day. It was an excruciating experience. :)
Nurse: *sticks in needle* *sticks in needle again*
Soujin: *panicking*
Nurse: *sticks in needle again* Boy, your skin is thick! *jams in needle*
Soujin: *whimpering and crushing her father's fingers*
Now, of course, it's rather amusing, but at the time I remember thinking something along the lines of Oh my god, I'm going to die. I'm going to die. O_O
Anyway, this morning da' and Mum and I fixed the fence. And the other thing that's coming in that I forgot are the little green apples that randomly drop out of trees and onto people's heads.
While we were fixing the fence, some fellow who is apparently our neighbour drove up on his snazzy tractor and starting talking about skunks and how he's been trying to shoot them late at night because he's afraid of getting sprayed. Um. Yes. The skunks have been living around here for years and years, and the only thing that's ever happened is that once before our dog knew better, he got sprayed and smelled for about six months. Apart from that, they seem to be harmless and relatively uninterested.
Now I shall strike my "backwoods girl with loathing for city people" pose and mention that he only moved here last year.
Greenhorn.

And I'm such a city person. Does that mean you loathe me? ;-;

Date: 2004-07-24 07:39 pm (UTC)No, no. I only loathe stupid city people who move in where our sweet neighbour used to live and then wake us up in the wee hours taking pot shot at harmless animals. :)
