To The Lighthouse is very tangled. Tangled seems to be the only word for it. The sentences are very meandering and very long, and I have to reread most of them twice before I completely understand them, and sometimes I don't at all.

Mum says she wrote it just before she committed suicide.

Cynthia says I ought to read Mrs. Dalloway, and that it's far more coherent. I probably shall.

Sandy said he'd buy me Orlando. ^_^ He's looking for dragonfly slippers for me because, although I am an undeserving undeserving person who does not deserve lovely dragonfly slippers from France, I fell in love with Susan's and Sandy decided it was his fancy to get me some. He's not having much luck, though, he said. It's entirely too nice of him as it is, but he said that since he was having trouble finding them, he'd get me something else.

So I showered glowish Soujiny affection on him the rest of the evening, and he seemed pleased. He is awfully dear.

I'm not making much progress in To the Lighthouse either. My teacher was right. It's craziness, what with the psychopathic sentences that I cannot comprehend and the fact that I CANNOT FIND A PLOT. I thought maybe I was just too dumb to get it, but I guess it's not just me. Yay.

No, you are definitely not dumb. It is random like whoa.

And it's not because it's too old for you, though, the way your teacher said. It's because it's insane. I doubt an adult could make head or tails of it either.
