What I love about
tiamatschild!
To begin with, Nanni is gingerbread. She is full of warmth; she is wonderful; she is lovely to snuggle up with online-ishly on a nasty day; she reminds one of being safe and loved and happy; and everything about her is just unbelievably to-die for sweet. If that's not gingerbread, I hardly know what is.
Now, to further detail these qualities.
For one, she is one of the most supportive, strengthening people I know. When she says that you can do something, you know you can. When she tells you that you're strong enough to change the world, you believe her. You just do, because she can tell you so many people who everyone thought were too small or too shy or too uncommon to do anything, but who made history in wonderful ways; but she doesn't just cite examples--she believes in you. You honestly will think that if she says you are able to do anything in the world that you set your heart to, you are able. You are able. It's just hard to believe that, sometimes; but with Nanni, you're encouraged.
She is someone you know will always be there to hold you, even cyber hold you, if something goes wrong. She will tell you that you can make it. She will tell you that you are beautiful, and when she says it, you are.
In short, Nanni makes me believe in myself. And that is so wonderful.
She is also a beautiful person by her spirit alone. She has compassion, joy; she is incredibly talented. She loves her cats. She loves people. She shows so much concern for the smallest things. When Bush won the election, she made a post in her livejournal about how we can't just say oh, dear, moving to Canada, because this is our country. We have so many special rights and privileges that most people in other countries don't have; we have freedom of speech, of assembly, and we need to use our wonderful rights to help fix the things that are going wrong. We don't have to be proud of our president, but we should be proud of our country. I also remember her post a long time ago about the monument that I think was in her churchyard. I remember that that post made me cry.
As well, she is one of the most fantastic writers I have ever come across. She has an amazing way with words, and she makes the most beautiful things. She just puts them together so wonderfully. I am always excited when there's Nanni!fic on my flist; and even more excited when it's for a fandom I know (though I read it even when it's not). I will always be in awe of her talent in writing.
And she is loving. And I adore her. I adore all of her, from her fabulous username which I only figured out the meaning behind last year, to her breathtaking writing, to her beautiful, wonderful, supportive, superb self.
Gingerbread!Nanni, Soujin shall never forget you.
