Ah!

Our visiting priest this morning was Brilliant.

Firstly, his name was Julian. I switched acolyting days with Josh specifically so I could acolyte under him, because it has always been my life's ambition to meet someone named Julian. Secondly, he looked just like Mr. Witherspoon from Arsenic and Old Lace, and I worked very hard not to speak to him in my Peter Lorre voice.

And he was ENGLISH. *dances a triumphant dance of triumph* ENGLISH ENGLISH! Actually, he was English/Polish. And his accent was teh_sex.

He had a lovely way of reading (he happens to be the only priest who has ever made me think evil slashy thoughts about John and Jesus, due to the way he read the bit about Jesus' baptism; and then I nearly missed saying my Paternoster because I was thinking of slash ^^;;;;), and his sermon was very nice.

But OMG. He wouldn't stop moving! He was all BOUNCE BOUNCE ROCK BACK AND FORTH BOUNCE! And God loves everybody! SWAAAAY! And he loves you, and you, and you, and you are all his children, when you are afraid or lonely or sad, and he loves you, and he is well pleased with you! SPIN AROUND AND BOUNCE! And because God loves everybody, you should too! ROCK BAAAACK AND FOOOORTH! Everybody should be loved, and you should honour all people! HOP SKIP AND TANGO! And John and Jesus were totally cousins, ha ha, cousins, as in cousins, and in conclusion cousins!

Except not that last part.

He was so sweet. *g* He's going to come back a few times before we get the evil dwarf-lady of doom back.

Also! My muffins were a success, and Susan suggested that, rather than having a bake sale, I could offer to bake for people's coffee hours for a moderate fee, and then I would only have one engagement a week at most, and the same end would be achieved. So that is what I have done. My notice and telephone number are on the bulletin board. ^____^
