Remember how I said I'd write something?
Well, I sort-of did. I'm about a third of the way through that Moby-Dick/Twenty-Thousand Leagues crossover. It's going decently, if head-hurtingly. Queequeg/Ned Land must not become my OTP. Please. That would be dangerous.
My sides hurt all over from aerobics. *g* I did Richard Simmons to-day, but to-morrow I'll do Kathy Smith again, and alternate; I'm going to check at the library and see what they have, too. It's actually very fun, but it hurts like nobody's business because I'm so new. Ouchies.
I spent the evening making
perepip a writing site! It was quite fun and makes me feel productive, despite the fact that it was actually a covert form of procrastination. I find designing sites to be quite the key to relaxation, but then, my designs are very low-tech and steff.
We've begun Samuel Pepys' diary. He is a bizarre little man. I like him far, far better than Milton, however, so all is well.
All of a sudden, I miss Iceland like crazy whoa. O, thou wide open plains of lupins! thou barren black sand deserts! thou sod houses and thou tall glaciers! Also, thou shibby chocolate and pilsur to die for!
And the music. I miss the Icelandic fellows singing Rythem Rythem in the cave at Lanmannalaugar. I miss Yeni singing for us. I miss Uncle Joi and Siggi and Olifur-Andre drinking and singing the old ballad-y songs on the last night.
Alas.
Hmm, I suppose at swordpoint I might admit to missing Blesi, but not really. ^_^ Blesi was not the best part.
I miss Vihljamur and Johanna, too. Summer will not come quick enough.
