Ngggh. While I sit here, in a panic, waiting to see what in hell A. and N. are going to do:

a. Post a list of 15 fandoms.
b. Have your friends list guess your favourite character from each one (only Soujin shall only do ten, because she hasn't got fifteen fandoms).
c. When guessed, bold the line, include the character name, and write a sentence about why you like that character.

1. Les Miserables:
2. Phantom of the Opera: The Persian. Yes, indeed. ^_^ He is curious and spicy and so demned slashy very infinitely the yay-ful character, and I love his hat. Also, he's the only really sensible person. :P
3. Assorted Jules Verne Novels: Pencroff! I love his hat, too--besides, he is altogether too concerned with funny little things like his tobacco and his wheat field, and he and Ayrton make the sweetest couple since anyone else already mentioned here. ^^
4. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Jekyll. But of course. He's got such wonderful character possibilities, and he makes my geeky little heart full-up with delight; also, his hair is fun and he wibbles; and of course I love his source material madly.
5. Lemony Snicket:
6. Horatio Hornblower: M'man Orrock. Oh, come on. In honour of him we long ago coined the phrase 'It rocks like an Orrock'. He has the accent and the pretty and the smart and the name and gahhh. He's Orrock.
7. 1776:
8. Notre-Dame de Paris: Pierre [Gringoire]. Ohhh. What isn't there to love about Pierre? He's got the most wonderful, silly, overdone, self-absorbed way of speaking, and yet he's very concerned about other persons; he's funny and clever, and he's got an infinite number of slash possibilities (Djali/Gringoire OTP!)... Besides, Bruno Pelletier has a gorgeous voice.
9. Westmark:
10. and for something completely different... Fushigi Yuugi:

It is very sad that I had to struggle even to come up with ten. Waugh.

...Heh. I really need to go up and treadmill, or I shan't get it done before dinner; and that would be inexpressibly bad. Well, off I'll go,then, as soon as the music ends. It's actually warmed up rather nicely, but I must know more about the MED.

Alas, no. *apologetic* Of course, I have such bizarre preferences. And lots of minor character love, hint hint. *g*

1) The Bishop?, 3)*G* You display too much love, doll. I shall guess and say Pencroft. 4) Jekyll?

I really have no idea, and beyond that am mostly taking stabs in the dark, so I'll leave it there.

And, Hee! *G* They behaved sensibly! Or at least as sensibly as you can expect from those two.

Okay. *wibbles* Okay. Gah I love your A. so much and N. rather wants to know if it would be appropriate to make the relationship public a la M. the Comte de Chagny and La Sorelli.

Oooh, go right ahead. (The way A. sees it, everyone knows already, so why not suffer the embarrassment and then have it done with?) The way I see it, it would be darned cute. :)

Okay. ^__^ Thank you. A. is probably entirely right, as far as I have observed, and N. thinks it might help him sort himself out.

Okay! Take your time! <3

I am going to guess that your favourite character from Hornblower is Captain Pellew. Because saying Pellew is fun. Pellew. Heh.

Yes, saying Pellew is absolutely the splendidest thing ever. However, my favourite character happens to be a minor character who only comes into HH3.

1. One of Les Amis... I don't have a more specific guess.
9. Florian! Because, hey, it's Florian. Who needs a reason?

(...pellew. hee. it is fun!)

1. Would you believe it not? It's actually someone quite... unexpected. Someone v. important.
9. I really, really want to say yes. I really do. But, much as I adore Florian, my favourite character is one of his children.

(I know!)

1. I'd say the Bishop, but someone already guessed him. Someone important, but "minor character love"? Hmhmhmhm. I guess Javert isn't exactly minor. Can't... think.... of names...! It isn't Gavroche, is it?

9. Aw, that means I have to re-read The Kestrel to remember their names. *g* Was going to get it from the library on Sunday, anyway, so I'll try again then. ;)

(There are too damn many characters in Les Miserables! Soundtrack to musical version of which I am listening to right now. For the first time in two years, which is to say for the first time since I was in it. I'm going to start crying soon and it isn't the onions my dad's cooking.)

(Aww... Camryn's line! And that's Susanna's line! David the foreman! And oh, I still remember the alto harmony... *sniffle*)

1. That minor character love was direct towards HH, actually. Not Javert, though.

9. It's the poetical one. Remember him? *g*
