"All it Takes is a Rake and a Hoe..."

Have just been out in the garden! Gardening!
I hoed and raked and turned over my whole little garden. We've got a big garden, with little gardens inside it, and mine's the three-tiered one with the daylillies, where the strawberry plants used to be. At any rate.
I got it all hoed over, and in the process dislodged a ginormous family of ants who are not at all happy with me, and also succeeded in killing about half the daylillies. I wish I'd realised sooner that the trowel was the implement for the job rather than the poor old hoe.I think I need Nanni's Bishop Myriel. Badly.
Nevertheless! I was outside, working, in the garden! I have done something worthwhile! Soon I shall plant little seeds there, and nurture them as they grow up into flowers!
Also cut away a million years of dead rosebushes. Daddy said to think of it as pruning rather than "chopping off at the waist" as that made it easier, and he was of course quite right. It does look nice now, too. Am really very proud. And dirty. Dirty, too.
...
Garden squee incoherence flowers ANTS warm summery spring yay!
...
And. Um. Now to the nutritionist's again. Home late. Au'voir!
