AND! And there's my dad's garden right behind me absolutely FULL of yellow sourgrass in full flower and the imitation honeysuckle dropping orange flowers into the non-working-jacuzzi and the morning glory on the iron fence and ivy on the wood fence and those funny little red sand dune flowers growing out of the sandbox and into the pool and the dog running around like a silly thing and the apricot tree is getting pretty leaves again and little tiny flowers...

It's not that easy. In Soujin's world, the outside has bugs and is either too hot or too cold or too inconvenient, and there are ticklies and the proper clothes must be worn and there must be some justification or the conscience will not allow for it and--lots of things.
