"Petite belle Stingray..."

Mum is not angry any longer, I think, although I am treading carefully.
Father Julian says 'take, eat' as though he really wants you to take the Communion. He doesn't recite it: he says it. That is another thing I like about Father Julian. Lynn says he baked the Communion bread himself this week. He has big nice hands and black hair down his arms to his wrists, although his hair is a dark silver colour. When I washed his hands to-day, I spilt some of the water on the floor, and he said it was his fault because his hands are too big, but actually it was my fault because I held the cruet too high. I like hands.
After the service, I went to the Santuary and copied Latin out of the Psalm book. I also found a Blessing for a Sick Child for Pencroff. He is not feeling well because of the dementors at DF.
Zara said she'd call me to-day. I shall sit in the den and write letters until she does. I think also I shall read the paper.
I have promised Mum to begin looking after Sam. It is really Waen's job, but she doesn't, and Sam is getting too thin, so I will give him mash and beet pulp. It will be good for me; I don't go outside often enough.
There are six beautiful spiderwebs in the azalea bushes out at our front walk. They are enormous and delicate and silvery in the sunlight and honestly things that beautiful are terribly wonderful. I love spiderwebs ordinarily, too, but these ones are particularly wonderful.
Nanni, the oboe piece was called 'Arioso'. Do you know it?
Daddy says I'm a good dancer...
