Dear Lloyd Alexander:

Westmark has officially taken over my life.

I shall attempt to make an example or two:

Book Review: Harry Potter really awesome just like Lloyd Alexander but cooler remember Prydain? this even better &c &c &c
Soujin: But Westmark is better than Prydain!
Book Review: That's totally irrelevant, hon.
Soujin: But--but--Westmark--!

Newspaper: "Conrad's farmstead fits all-year theme &c insert article here..."
Soujin: O. M. G. Duke Conrad's estate in my newspaper?!
Reality Check: Hellooooo, dearie.
Soujin: Oh, wait.
Soujin: *finishes article*
Soujin: Ha ha. Um. That never happened. Ha ha. Oh, God, I lose....

That was all extremely embarrassing.

Also, I speak out loud to the people in those books while I am reading the books, demmit.

I need to sue you for my sanity and/or my life back--yet, somehow, I am so mad in love with your people and said books that I would rather fangirl you. Waugh.

Also I am writing Stock/Jellinek. Kill me now.

Love,
Soujin

Please do. They're a lot more mature than a lot of his other books, and just very, very good. As Kali once put it, they're also essentially 'Les Mis on a diet', which means everything about LM, by the way. Including Mix 'n' match slash, barricades, adorable street urchins, unrealised love, and--well, no God, which is sort of an essential part of LM, but.

*is getting rambly and incoherent, alas*

Anyway. Tres good. Read them, yes. Ha.

*finds it vaguely appropriate that she stole Zara's journal for this, don't mind her*

Newspaper: Blah blah blah Enjolras-cakes
Me: OMG! Enjolras! Les Mis in my newspaper!
Enjolras: *is doctor in Oslo*

In my defence, I was going to see Les Mis that night.

*DIES*

It's so much fun when the written news media messes with one's mind.

At least your confusing media actually had the name of the character! When I was at Wellesley a few weeks ago, there was a building called Pomeroy, and I saw it and thought it said Pomercy. My train of thought was: "Pomercy=Pontmercy=LES MIS!" That was my train of thought. Thank you.

*giggles* Man, we're all getting sucked in by our respective fandoms, aren't we? It makes the world so much more interesting, though. ^_~
