I've done too many stupid things to-day, but I'm prepared to absolve myself.

We're cutting the corn to-day.

And I'm wearing a pretty dress.

You know, [livejournal.com profile] mhari, the scarf you gave me for Christmas? The pink one. I wear it everywhere, and I get so many compliments. ^_^ I wore it to the wedding yesterday, with the blue Luisa dress. And it was so pretty, so terribly pretty. I like it so much.

My brother is coming to-morrow. I've not seen him since--oh, it wasn't since Grandma's funeral, I don't think, but it's been an awfully long time. Maybe he was here in October. I don't remember exactly. It'll be nice to see him again. ^_^

And Waen's birthday we'll celebrate on Wednesday. Tho' it's not.

Er. I'm getting silly. That's enough for now, then.

*hums* Eventually we are going to cut the corn. Really.

You've cryptically mentioned non-Waen siblings a few times, and I keep forgetting to ask you about them (I think you've mentioned more than one, but I could be wrong). How old are they? Are they nice people? Where do they live?

I keep thinking about how weird it will be for my sister after my brother and I are both grown up. She's ten years younger than I am, and it is very weird to think that I'll be 28 when she graduates from high school (assuming I'm not dead yet). Ack.

*bounces* Oh! I have, haven't I? There's three of them, my brother Daniel and my sisters Natalie and Melinda. And, er, I don't know. ^_^ They're nice enough, but I don't see them but once a year or so. Daniel's an algebra teacher in California, and Natalie's in school in Texas, and Melinda works in Williamsburg, Virginia. She's nice. I saw her in June. She's got a really pretty smile and she likes to talk, and she tells wonderful funny stories. Natalie wears awful clothes and used to live in Boston, and she's rather quiet and she runs. Daniel's kind of bouncy, and he likes baseball and golf and we think he might marry his girlfriend, because she goes with him everywhere (he's bringing her when he visits) and it's just sort of seemed like that, Da' says. And that's fine, because Waen likes her.

...But I don't know that much about them, really. Natalie I think is thirty-six, and Daniel's thirty-four, then, and Melinda's thirty-three or something close to that. I don't know, though. ^_^;;

(You are so not going to be dead at twenty-eight, or I will be very put out) Eep. *giggles* You'll be able to annoy her so much.

Los Angeles! I live outside of Los Angeles (and a bit, but comparatively speaking...). Do you ever visit him, perchance?

...awwww! He's so cute, and I'm afraid I haven't started his book yet. XD *hair ruffling time*

^___^ Really? We've never visited him. That's why we hope he'll marry his girlfriend. Because then we'd have to come up. ^^;;; *sponge sponge*

Well, he's not actually in his book, so you're all right with that.

*squibbles* You do?! Yay! There is nothing sadder than gift-clothes that don't get worn. *eyes some of her blouses guiltily*

What Erin said. My mother always asks me "so, how many of them are there besides Soujin and Waen?" and I have to say "erm, I really have no idea". :D

I do! I think it's beautiful. I wear it to work a lot, because everybody likes my scarves at work, and Sarah, who's usually rather bad-tempered, said it looked like a big pink flower in my hair and she liked it a lot. ^_____^ *pets the blouses, because absolutely cannot resist trying to comfort everything, including inanimate objects. XD*

*points up* Eep, I'm sorry. I just--forget they exist sometimes, so I don't usually talk about them except when they're coming to visit. Which is, like, never. ^_~ Daddy's family never does much to preserve familiar ties. When everyone's together, they're friendly enough, but no one goes out of his or her way to be sociable or anything. They don't mail birthday cards or make telephone calls. (Mum's family's the whole other way around.) So a lot of the time I just forget that they're there. *is... either really pathetic or just really, um, something. quite possibly pathetic* ^_^
