I'm trying to think of way to put this that won't have my flist jumping on me and going 'omg eating disorder!' but. ^_^;;; (Because I don't)

I'm trying to eat the proper amount that Marie wants me too, and it feels like so much. I mean--augh, I feel dreadful eating that much. And there's so little protein in it! and so much carbohydrate! and flaiiiiiiil. Twelve-hundred calories is too many.

...But I'm trying.

Also have begun taking my vitamins again. They still taste dreadful.

...And now I have breads to make and packages to ready, and several CDs to burn. So! I shall bother off and do what I ought. I can't believe it's already two-thirty. I got up at eleven, but I didn't have breakfast until two. Feel too light!

At any rate. Where are my address labels, and have I got any Greek olives?

It's not a bad thing. It takes time to get used to a change in your diet, whether it's eating more or less. *insert ucky story about starving people here* (not that you're starving, of course, but it's almost the same principle..? XD)

♥!

Really? I didn't think of that at all. (I think I see what you mean...!) Okay. That makes sense.

*pounces* It's understandable, really. I mean, you are trying to adjust your metabolism, and that's going to take some time. You've been eating a whole lot less than you should, and so you've gotten used to that amount. -- Maybe you should try eating more meals (or, to say, add a scheduled snack or two?) for a couple of days? So that you're not quite aware that you're eating more?

...I'm hungry now. Also, I should take vitamins again. I always liked the grassy taste, but I'm slly. Have you tried vitamins for kids?

Yes, very used. ;__; But you're right. -- Maybe. I don't usually eat lunch as a matter of course, so I'm trying to put it back into my schedule.

...*giggles* That's because you never eat when you should, you dreadful creature. Also, blah. :P They taste dreadful. --I should.

Good! I'm terrible pleased to hear it -- I'm weakening. Between gummi bears and the Flintstones. ^_~

This is why the sandwich is such a great invention. Twice as much carbs as protein, and you don't feel like you're really eating that much because it's in every bite.

(of course, I feel like shit when I only eat 1200 calories a day - at 900 calories, you are a starving child in Chad.)

...I suppose so.

(Not really. I mean--I was never hungry. It felt like more than enough. I was actually trying to cut back on how much I ate when I went to see her.)

You need to be eating higher calorie things for a bit. Because your stomach doesn't detect the calories, it detects the amount. You can feel full on celery, but it has roughly 0 calories. So you need to eat regular instead of fat-free yogurt, or eat a little red meat instead of just chicken (also, you need your vitamins because you might also be anemic). Put a creamy sauce on your pasta and veggies instead of a tomato one. You'll be eating the same volume of food but increasing your calories the way the nutritionist wants.

That you are trying is good in itself. *snuggles*

Of course it feels like a lot! It's a large adjustment -- consider how long it took you to adjust from a normal diet to where you are now. It doesn't have to come naturally right away.

Carbohydrates are good for you. Not if that's all you eat, of course, but that goes for everything, including protein. (Atkins was a loon.)

....FLINTSTONES. *evangelizes*

Oh...! That's true. It's been a long time since I ate as much as most anybody else, I guess.

But they're sugar-based-- *flails* (I know. I was on South Beach. :D)

I WANT. *listens enraptured*

Sugars are also good for you. In moderation. *gives muffins* So there.

:D They're kind of sweet-tart, so it's not like they're sicky sweet. Plus they're pretty colors.

It's not better to cut them out entirely. Carbohydrates are essential to have any energy at all, and not eating enough of them would probably slow down your metabolism. And as for fats, well, that's what your cell membranes are made out of. And the myelin covering on your nerves, and the hormones in your body. It's pretty painful to live without much myelin (multiple sclerosis is what happens when your body doesn't have enough myelin, though it's not usually caused by eating deficiencies), not to mention impossible to live without cell membranes. (...maybe I should be a nutritionist. I positively hate all the misinformation that goes around about the poor fats and cholesterols and carbohydrates... they are good things until you have way too much of them!)
*/biology geek interjection*

Anyway, I'm glad you're eating more! 900 calories is, like, a cup of spaghetti, an apple, two eggs, a glass of milk, and maybe a pudding cup.

...Oh, for--sigh. There's no way to win, is there? :D Except by eating properly, and I don't want to do that.

...It is not. It's one can of chicken, a handful of nuts, a fillet of salmon, a cup of milk, and occasionally a slice of bread, although that depends. And two ounces of ham.

I remember feeling like that. Guh. What Mme. Bahorel said is really sensible, though (of course, I didn't think of it either, so.)

I read somewhere that some yoga positions are good for your metabolism, if that's any help - ?

Ick, vitamins. I'd just... eat fruits and stuff, but fruit has really little calories but makes you feel full, so I'm not helpful at all.

Really? Yes, too sensible for us! ^___^

...did not know that. ^__^ may try it!

No, no. I need vitamins for every single thing one can possibly need vitamins for. ^_~ so it's better just to take them. Besides, I don't like eating.
