OMG ANNIE LEIBOVITZ ALKDFJALSK. :D Though actually I think I like the Oz one least, out of her series... and Keira Knightley unfortunately looks... well... too old. :( But yes, Lillie might get a laugh out of it. XD
I don't think much of it--frankly. I've not seen anything else of hers ever before. Keira Knightly is far too old, and far too--pouty. Dorothy was so cheerful and good sturdy Kansas-- I'm silly, but I thought Lillie--yes.
I have! Another friend of mine e-mailed it to me earlier today, and I think I actually saw the magazine a while back but didn't have time to flip through it.
...that movie came so close to being terrible. Stupid subplots upon stupid subplots. The Lion was really the Prince of Oz transformed into a Lion by the Wicked Witch, Dorothy and the Princess of Oz sang an "opera vs. jazz" duet, Dorothy and Hunk were in love (that's why she says she'll miss the Scarecrow most of all)... it's amazing how well it turned out. - Oo, I can't wait to see what you come up with!
And then there were the casting issues and injuries and such. Shirley Temple was almost Dorothy, the Wicked Witch was almost glamorous, Ray Bolger was almost the Tin Man but he complained and got the studio to switch him with Buddy Ebsen, and then Buddy Ebsen got sick when tin powder coated his lungs and so he was replaced by Jack Haley, and Jack Haley got an eye infection from the new tin paste, and Margaret Hamilton was almost burned to death, and someone stepped on Toto... oh, and under the first director (of... five?), Dorothy was blonde and made to act like Shirley Temple. - Big skeery posters for your room, of course!
