"Woke Up To-day to Everything Grey..."

Ohh, I am so tired to-day.
My people are good. I met some wonderful new ladies; Don is more than walking--he's jogging--and just a lot of good is going on. Also, our new activities director is a Good Thing so far. I have certainly high hopes.
--and I went to Rite Aid and got some more things for Valentine's (although I already have a tonne of things for Valentine's) and have been making more of my paper ones, and just generally doing everything I can to keep it together. I think I'll do all right, if I keep trying and keep busy and make sure I don't get too far behind in everything (note to self: actually do your history to-morrow instead of reading more H. G. Wells).
castaly, I still need your address! Or your muffins will get stale, and naturally that will be a tragedy.
I also need to get my act together enough that I can start applying for a job soon. I am broke badly; but there are three places I would love to be able to work, so maybe if I get on top of things I can try to do that. To-day we made gumdrop atoms in chem; I like the CH3Cl best. It looks like a war of the worlds tripod, and C was a big licorice medallion, because it had to be big enough for four bonds, and the gumdrops weren't. And I brought a handful home for Waen, who--guess what?--has gotten her electric guitar. It's a black Les Paul, and she's really excited--it came with an amp--and she's been playing it constantly ever since.
And I forgot--I totally forgot--but. Guess what?
We got our house.
I know. I know. We got it. ^_____________^ It's ours. Our beautiful stream with the suspension bridge; ours with the woodshed and the smokehouse and the barn and the chicken run and the pig barn and the carshed. Ours with the potato field. Ours with the acres of woodland. And Daddy said that I could keep a lamb, since it'll be big enough for that. My very own sheep. ^________^ Waen wants to raise hogs, since we have a smokehouse, and Daddy says it's worth considering. We're also going to have of course our guineas and chickens. This is going to be so wonderful. Our house goes up for sale in six weeks; we're still doing repairs. We just repainted the entire kitchen, and we're putting up new wallpaper and cleaning tonnes of things and getting it all ready so that people will want to buy it.
Truly--it's all right. I'll knock on wood--it's all right--we actually have a home. We have a home.
I have a home.

Date: 2007-02-06 11:21 pm (UTC)In my chemistry, we only ever got to make atoms with wooden balls and wooden sticks. Therefore, *JEALOUS!*
Also, lamb ^_____________________________^

Date: 2007-02-07 07:35 pm (UTC)Ha ha! Our teacher said she was going to get us one of those, but they cost forty dollars, and she could get toothpicks and gumdrops for four, so she did that instead. XD
I know! Squee!

Date: 2007-02-07 07:46 pm (UTC)More expensive really does not mean better ;_; Also, ours were old and probably bought when they cost four dollars themselves.
Sheep: they are weird like goats but better because they are not as scary ^__^

Date: 2007-02-11 09:09 pm (UTC)Well, that is true; I only explain why they were chosen.
And also they are softer and nicer to look at.
