Latin is a really, really, really stupid language. Why am I taking it?

...because it has words like sandapila*, that's why. But it's still a stupid language.

*"cheap coffin"

Oo, oo, and if you had, say, a whole litter of kittens, you could call them Oogiyot! Which means "cookies," but I think it's really just the plural of "Oogah."

If Latin is a stupid language (I think it's pretty, but that's because the most exposure I get to it is through Supernatural, where very pretty boys are reciting it to exorcism demons), then Chinese must just be a silly one. Or at least one that's difficult to translate into English, because my dad once translated one of Hamlet's many soliloquies as "I can't make up my mind! But wait--! Is that death I see before me--?", or something else that made me crack up. And then he called Hamlet psychic. And a princess. ... [/random story of the evening]

Heee. (Well, see, those pretty boys are not declining jussive clauses using indirect commands with ut and ne. That makes them infinitely preferable, naturally.) I certainly believe it. Also--XD Your dad is awesome.

How do they use the same word for Hedgehog and Beam with Iron Spikes? I see the spikes part, but the rest...!

Oooh, that would all be wonderful~! And i doubt i would be offended by a skeevy one. If you composed something? i would melt. Seriously. Not that i don't already. (trying a translator (http://cdsjcl.f2g.net/translate.html) on your icon makes it weird!)

Beats me. It's a versatile language. ^__^ They also use the infinitive verb form for non-infinitive verbs, so.

^__^ Well--! I shall do that, I think. I know enough Latin to put together a fairly decent love poem. (*dies* It's--not that off, at least what they gave me for entering the entire phrase; it means 'your place or mine?'.)

hearts look super malformed when small. And i'm sure it' sno trouble, but if it gets to be a trouble, do not bother...! (it is a strange translation, to be sure!)
