Dear Mr Tartaglia:

I really have no idea who you are, except that you are on a quite good children's television programme called Johnny and the Sprites, which I sometimes see when I'm at the gym, and that you make wonderful, wonderful faces. And that when you finished that one song, 'Rules are Made for a Reason', you struck a Freddie Mercury pose.

That's reason enough for me to love you, really. I just wanted to let you know.

Love, Soujin

Aaaw, John Tartaglia. <3 I love when they let really really gay people have children's shows. Julian Clary used to have one, apparently, which is extra-hilarious because he's known for being v. explicit in his comedy things.

He was also the original Princeton/Rod in Avenue Q and played Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast. :D

Really! :D And, um, if you'd care to be somewhat traumatized... ever since he did Broadway Bares, my mental image of him has been this.

I couldn't stop giggling when I heard about that show. Because the transition from Avenue Q to children's TV is just amusing. Also, on one episode Sutton Foster makes a guest appearance as his sister and pwns him at thumb wars. It is the cutest thing in the history of ever.

It is adorable, and not at all irritating the way some kids' shows are. There need to be more like it. ^__^

Exactly! That's exactly right, it's not irritating. It feels right. And it has cool songs. I agree.

...um, hi. I love that he's on a children's show, and then he goes and gets famous doing Avenue Q...which is very much not for kids. nice.

I have this friend who is (or used to be, at least, back when he worked at Disney and John Tartaglia would come to DCA all the time) completely in love with him.

I think maybe the children's show came second? Possibly. I really have no idea.

Hee. I can see why; I mean, he's very cute.
