I--am exquisitely tired. And I forgot to call Amy until eight, so she probably hates me. <--typical thought pattern
But my first day of work was wonderful--! I made friends with a girl named Val, and we got relegated to the freezer to restock drinks and things like that, and we did that for three hours without making much a dint in what was back there, but we had a great time--we laughed and joked and helped each other out and nearly froze to death and my God how much Mountain Dew does one establishment need--and basically it was great. (We got stuck in the freezer because I killed the training computer, and Val tried to help, and the supervisor yelled at us both and exiled us. XD)
And then she went home, because she was working the six to ten shift, and I learned how to make coffee; bus the beverage station; cut cardboard for recycling; use the weird dishwasher; change trash; and stack empty crates. Not that much learning was involved in these pursuits, but still. I think I earned whatever I made to-day. It was fun! But it was also on three hours of sleep and no food, so by the time I got home at twelve-thirty I was a little out of it.
But--I slept a little, and then I went to Newport to the gym, so. A productive sort of day.
To-morrow we are all going to take the truck down to see Mama's friends Sarah and Bonnie and transport their burro to them. They have an animal rescue, and we have been adopting farm animals from them for years, pretty much, but they have this burro and no way to get it to their house, so Mama offered to do that. So! Burro! ^____^ And then we get to visit. I'm in love with Sarah, so this is okay and non-stressful, I'm pretty sure.
And then after that it's the fair--!
I am so tired. XD
