How beautiful was the world to-day? Amazing. Golden slantways beneath the stormclouds and leaves and birds making swirling upwards cascades in the wind. Presence of God in all my movements, knowledge of joy in all my learning. Digestive system is learned and loved--I can draw nephrons! And nerves look like some kind of ornate wispy butterfly under the microscope. This is what I want to spend my life on. Thank you, thank you, God, for answers.

I will always be astonished by Christians who can't reconcile science with God. Science is proof of God...! To-day my faith is most joyous within me and I want to sing hymns that sound like November. I love the way the small intestine coils and peristalsis moves everything the way it should go, and the wise way our kidneys choose healthy good things for us and put them back into the bloodstream to sustain us. I love fall of the ureters and the bigness of the liver and I love when birds are so thick in the sky that they look like fish in the ocean, moving in a singleness, breathing and weaving together.

I am so glad I care again. I am so glad I'm awake again. I look and feel and move in the world again.

It welcomes me back. I love the world because it forgives me; I love God, and God also forgives me.

Thank you for these things.

I love you, and I love this post. <3 I personally couldn't enjoy the weather today because it was far too windy for someone with my hair, but I'm glad you liked it. :)

I don't mind getting my hair messed up by the wind. XD But you have a lot more than I do.

As a part of the world, I would like to reaffirm the Rewelcoming of you.

The juxtaposition of the Birds in the Sky and the Liver is pretty astounding, and deeply poetic, if you don't mind my saying so.

I meant to say "Liver and Such" but it felt like far too strange a phrase to utter!

"Science is proof of God...!"

Thank you, yes. This is what I can't figure out people not understanding. We don't have to choose whether to believe in God or dinosaurs - who else but some kind of God-like power could have come up with them? And evolution - this freaking incredible system!

Anyway.

I'm glad you're happy. <3

Thank you for sharing...

...I love the freshness and delight with which you view the world. It reminds me to shake myself out of my habitual cynicism...

...why yes, I do feel old this morning...

I love the world. It is always surprising me in the most wonderful ways. It's so easy to love! Even in its sadnesses: there is so much beauty.

I remember getting really angry with a religion teacher in my junior year because he loathed me for being an atheist, and I finally snapped during one class and told him that science was proof god did not exist. And he looked at me as if I'd just told him that the earth was flat and said, "Science is proof that god does exist." I still hated him deep in my little atheistic soul, but it was the best lesson he ever taught.

I am sorry that he was wise enough to know that but not wise enough to love people when their beliefs and truths were different from his.
