Had my first migraine to-day! V. exciting. Also pain.

It finally rained to-day. Our dry spell has lasted oh, too long, and finally to-day round about two o'clock it just started pouring down. I opened my window up so I could hear it up loud. Noise, noise, noise. The creeks are all swelled and brown, the fishpond is overflowing a little bit, the grass goes squish under the foot. It was over an inch.

There are mayapples coming up everywhere. I love mayapples.

Mama finally came home.

It was horrid. I spent the entire day in bed with the lights off and the fan on (Zara always said air circulation helped with her migraines, so I tried to apply that).

That is the best way to spend a migraine, I should think.

I want to smell the rain ;_; We had snow that smelled of it the other day, but it wasn't right!

That's because it was snow! The qualities are dissimilar. But the rain always makes the creek give up its watersmells, and Maria saw turtles eating on the bank, snap snap crunch with strong little turtle jaws.
