Maria is crying. It makes me so scared I don't even know what to say; I want to go to my room and hide in my bed until things are better again. Maria is crying; the lamb had to be shot. (I have to pretend I can't hear her, because it makes it worse for her when people notice. I'm sitting in the next room over and I have to pretend I can't hear her crying.) I'm scared, I'm scared.
