Feeling very weird for the time being, not necessarily good.

Wisdom teeth coming out in two weeks, not looking forward to it, will be laid up a bit; on the other hand, I'll be put to sleep for it, and I've always wanted to experience being under anesthesia from a kind of existential perspective (what is it like to lose time? Not through sleeping, because when I sleep I can always tell that time has passed, but I understand that under anesthesia you can't tell that, and time actually gets lost).

The family reunion is to-morrow, and I really don't like Daddy's family, but I'm going to hide in my room--the good thing about it being at our house means that I can take refuge in my room if I get too overwhelmed--and Rebecca and Natalie are coming and that is a good thing. All the stressful things that are happening are just short-term, and I will be okay.

Going under was really bizarre. They make you count backward usually, and so my thoughts went something like "10...9...8...why is my mouth full of cotton?" and then I discovered I had been out for, like, two hours. And then I spent a week on the couch watching long old movies because going up the stairs created too much pressure change in my face, but that's beside the point. [/rambling]

... Huh, I never really thought about that lost time thing. I'm sure you know that in many alien abduction stories, the alleged abductee loses time... Hm....

Anyway, they put me under when I got mine out, and it was pretty fun. At first they weren't administering a full dose because my heartbeat kept freaking out because of nerves, so they were worried it would, like, kill me or something. But they got over it and I was totally fine. I'm lying there and, the next thing I know, it's been a couple hours, my mouth is oozing stupid blood but I can't feel it, and everything is going really really fast. I'minthewheelchairi'moutsidei'minthecarholycrapwe'rehalfwayhome. What should've been about 20 minutes compressed itself to about three, but I was aware of all of it.
