SO to-day I read the apocryphal Biblical text of Joseph and Asenath and you should too because it is awesome and hilarious. And Asenath's cleansing ritual involves being COVERED IN BEEEEEEES, because God is a troll.

It's days like this that I'm really happy to be a religion major.

Basically God's angel is like "go bring me a honeycomb" and even though Asenath knows she has no honeycombs she goes to her room, and LO AND BEHOLD there is one on the bed, so she brings it to him. and he eats some of it, and then he... smears some of it on her mouth? and it turns into bees? and they cover her, and queen bees (except SNOWY WHITE and with RAINBOW WINGS) cover her mouth and possibly sting her but that's not totally clear, and thus she is PURIFIED.
