Date: 2005-08-24 03:13 am (UTC)^___^ Aww, thank you. It's just--well.
...Okay, I don't like you.
The priest isn't as old as Christian suspected he would be, and he has a warm, friendly smile, and a wonderful voice. For the first time, Christian is as speechless before a man as a woman.

Neville/Torrens "lance" (In honor of your, er... lack of them. XD)
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-24 03:44 am (UTC)You're so wicked.
O_O ...Doubly wicked.
He had never seen a dark-skinned boy quite like the ragged one who showed up in Marianstat asking for a doctor and raging with fever. The boy was bruised and bitter, cut and angry, and he told a gabbling, wild story about being chased away for a murder he hadn't committed, separated from a sister he'd never been without. Torrens tended him gently, lanced some wounds, bandaged others. He could heal the boy's body, and would try to ease his furious mind.
Ew.

Date: 2005-08-24 03:55 am (UTC)Zara/Helena. "experiment"
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-24 04:16 am (UTC)"Where're you going?" Zara demands, following Helena closely with her eyes. Helena laughs, her full, secret laugh that sounds like Indian forests. "Oh, I don't know. I shall make an experiment of my daydreams, and see where I go when I don't decide." "You're crazy," Zara begins, then quiets. "I'm coming too." "Of course," Helena says, a promise. They go out together.

Gideon/Cosette "light"
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-24 04:54 am (UTC)OTP! ^_______________^
She smiles shyly, covering part of her face with a little lacy fan. When it catches the light, it sparkles. She is an old woman, but when she smiles that way she looks as young as new grass or a girl in a new dress dancing. Gideon is nearing fifty; he bows rather than shaking her hand, and asks her to dance with him some night rather than for an interview. Her husband died three years ago, and she is lonely; she accepts. She is not too old to be loved.

Date: 2005-08-24 04:59 am (UTC)Raoul/Mordred (Squishy gave it to me. I don't even know Arthurian legend. XD) "imagine"
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-24 05:56 am (UTC)I hate you.
Eddy couldn't imagine what the Frenchman wanted with him. He was minding his own business, wasn't he? But he answered, irritably, drawing himself as high as he could and jamming his hands in his pockets. The other fellow grabbed him suddenly and embraced him, and Eddy began at once to protest loudly.
He couldn't know how much the Frenchman was missing his brother.

Date: 2005-08-24 05:59 am (UTC)Pencroff/Florian "impede"
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-24 06:59 am (UTC)Damn it!
"Have you ever sailed before?" the sailor asks cheerfully, clamping his hat onto his head with one hand, the ribbons flapping in the breeze.
"Never," Florian assures him with a smile.
"Well, then! You're in for a treat! I've always lived with the sea, and I can tell you--!"
The woman beside him interrupts, "Don't you mean on it, Mister Pencroff?"
Florian knew he did not.

Date: 2005-08-24 07:18 am (UTC)Lise/Zara. XD My fall-back. XD "Tattered"
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-24 03:18 pm (UTC)Ha!
To-day the sharp, thin dressmaker is wearing a different dress. It's a dark, dark blue colour, almost as dark as her usual black dress, but not quite. It is stiff and odd and smells slightly too-clean, as though she never wears it. Lise suspects this is the case. She glances down at her own flour-dusted, stained skirt with the tattered hem and suddenly she wants a new dress, a reckless extravagance, but she wants the dressmaker to see her in something decent. She does not know that this is exactly what Zara wants, too.

Date: 2005-08-24 06:58 pm (UTC)Hmm.
Sibyl Vane/Rosa Bud "giggle"
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-25 12:47 am (UTC)Heavens.
Sibyl had never played Miranda before, but she loved her lines. Miranda was a beautiful, innocent darling of a girl. She was ready to perform better than she ever had in her life.
As she entered at her cue, a girl in the audience wearing pink bounced up and stared at her with such delighted eyes that Sibyl giggled. It spoiled her entrance entirely.
She wasn't sorry at all.

Date: 2005-08-25 12:54 am (UTC)=D That one was Squishy's, too. XD
Harbert/the Little Girl (from Ragtime) "query"
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-25 01:01 am (UTC)...Why am I not surprised?
Neither of them spoke, although both of them had a query in their eyes. He was standing, holding the pole on the trolley; she was crouched on the floor on her hands and knees. Suddenly, her solemn face broke into a smile. Harbert beamed back. He could not know it was the first time since her mother had gone.
Uck. Also, my timeline does not win. And 'gone' means 'OMG Tateh threw her out of the house!'.
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-25 01:04 am (UTC)...oh, I dunno... XD
Awwwwwwww! Psh, timeline. What's that?
Rina/Zara "store"
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-25 01:19 am (UTC):D :D :D
Okay, thank you.
"What's that supposed to be?" Zara stares skeptically at the bunches of clover in Rina's pockets, white flowers and greens leaves.
"It's good luck. It'll keep me safe," Rina smiles.
"You idiot, you'll need more than that to keep you safe in Eschbach."
"My mother set store by it--"
Suddenly Zara kisses her, sharp and quick. "I don't give a damn about your mother. Don't get hurt."
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-25 01:22 am (UTC)AWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwWWWWWWWWWwWWWWwWWWwwwwwwwwWW! Zara's so, so cute. I mean, in a really, like... 'I'mma bite you!' way.
Mother/Younger Brother (but not like... as a pairing. ew. Also, guess what I'm listening to? XD) "vow"
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-25 03:30 am (UTC)*eeps* Thaaaank you.
She vows they will speak more often. They don't. (When she was small, she vowed she would always love him best. She doesn't.) Then one day he goes to Mexico, and she is a breaker of vows (that she has already broken).
That was wonky. Also, was it really Mexico where he went?

Date: 2005-08-25 03:39 am (UTC)Hmmm. Tinman/Boq. XD "truth"
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-25 03:43 am (UTC)AHHHH. I CAN'T DO THAT. I don't know the canon!
"Tell the truth," Boq protested, not really accusing. "You can't have been a Munchkin, you're too tall." "Not too tall," the Tin Man tells him.
XD Bad romance novel lines ahoy.
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-25 03:46 am (UTC)XDD! I'll show you bad romance novel lines, woman.
Lise/Zara. XD "speak"
(no subject)
Date: 2005-08-25 06:24 am (UTC)Ha, you can't beat me. I've actually read romance novels. :D
And believe me, there is nothing better for a laugh. cough. For the first time, the woman in the bakery speaks to the dressmaker. It's nothing more than good afternoon, but the dressmaker pulls at the tight cuffs of her blue dress and fixes her with a hard stare. Ragueneau would back down from it, Lise thinks. But Ragueneau is a fool. That look is one of her own, and she knows what it means. She nods curtly. They can read each other's angles.
