Well, the last one is Epimetheus, the first one should probably be Sebastian, the second to last is Passepartout, and the one above is Pencroff. That leaves Ragueneau for the last. I don't even know what Ragueneau's source material is.
Passepartout's made me wince. *hugs him* I don't think that'll ever be the case, my dear. While he might be fine on his own, Phileas doesn't ever want to BE on his own again. It would be like eating in four-star restraunts and then being told to go live on bread and water.
OT3s as intertwined as theirs can never stop needing one corner of their triangle. Without Jean, there would be no humour in the household at ALL, and even Aouda's quiet smiles would fade. They'd grow stiff and cold and a little frightened of one another, with no one there to willingly and eagerly bridge every gap and ford every river, however literal or metaphorical.
For the same reasons - Aouda/Passepartout alone wouldn't work because they'd be rather fluffily endearing but completely without any structure or backbone at all. They'd just sort of go faffing around the world pointlessly. They both need someone to adore and care for and tend to, someone to look up to and lean on. If Phileas weren't around, they'd spend all their time trying to do things for one another to no avail, and fall apart in a sad dust bunny at the end of their days.
and I wrote what would happen without Aouda already.
:D :D :D Epi thinks he wins, too. As he told Paris, Miss Zara told him there was no-one like him. In the world. Like ever. He's more flattered than he can say.
