I have a certain strange fondness for Nyarlathothep. He's a scary Hermes-esque guy. You should definitely seek out <a href="http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Cats_of_Ulthar"the Cats</a> (though now you have no need to <i>seek</i>); it's part of the Dream Cycle and is about cats! I can understand the Outsider-Poe thing, but I wrote a really cool essay on it once so I can't stop loving it XD
