Aaron linked me to this amazing game, which will suck your soul in hardcore. Luckily, it plays pretty quickly--there are only about sixteen levels. And it's a lot of fun!

The herb shop here is doing Facebook trivia where they post their number and a question about an herb and if you call in first with the right answer you win the plant. I just won an oregano. :D

Finals are over and done with and I go home to-morrow, thank God. It is past time and I am more than ready. This morning Steph and I walked into town and went thrift store shopping, which I really shouldn't have done but she was super stressed out and needed a break, so that was more important. She got four very cute dresses, and I got a skirt and a jean halter dress that I will never wear because I'm not pretty enough. Then we stopped at the organic cafe and got smoothies, because she said she wanted to spend money on me. >_> We went with her service dog, who is a darling.

We re-homed Mabon, because a friend of Mama's has a bigger home for him and it's not close to the road so she can let him be an outdoor cat, which is what he really wants. Meanwhile, I have kittens waiting for me, because a barn cat had them in our barn. So yay! Kittens!

And on Wednesday I got to [livejournal.com profile] mhari! That is the best of all.

Now I am going to see if anyone will indulge me in watching Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus.

So it's three-forty in the morning, I'm hiding in the hotel bathroom, and the upshot of all of this is that I won't have internet access (although it's been limited anyway, hello home) until at least Tuesday next. So I would like preemptively to wish everybody happy Christmas and other assorted appropriate wintry holidays; I adore all of you. <333

Also, that if you'd like you should request a drabble for Christmas, because I'll be home with nothing to do a lot AFTER Tuesday next and I need to do more writing. Primarily looking at Arthuriana here because I am horrible and not into that many other fandoms right now, at least not that I'm feeling. >_> BUT if you want one-hundred words of Arthurian or any-roleplay-game-I'm-in please just let me know!

Other news is that they decided there was a little piece of possible skin cancer in my side and removed it, and I got three whole stitches :D :D :D and they go off in ten days which is TOO LONG MY GOD THEY ITCH aghh I can't take it. OH and I don't have a thyroid disorder, it's just that normal iron levels are 60-113 and mine is 30.

ALSO and I will take a picture but I GOT THE MOST AWESOME SHEEP EVER for Christmas. I got him early for divers reasons and his name is Francis and he's almost as big as me HOW awesome is THAT? AWESOME and also that I got my grades back for this semester and I PASSED organic chemistry II with a C+ GO ME because that class seriously was EVIL ON WHEELS and you know I might be a little punchy, I think I'm going to bed now.

I hope they don't want me to drive to-morrow because I am going to be fuck-all use.

Edit: DELE DELE DELE I GOT ACCEPTED FOR THE NZ PROGRAMME BUT THEY WANT ME TO GO TO HAMILTON WHERE IS THAT EVEN?

How to Be Disappointed: A Handy Guide.

-->Go to store
Went to store!

-->Do you have a giftcard?
Yes!

-->Find a store with cute dresses
Wet Seal! Oooh, I've never been in a Wet Seal before. Oooh!

-->Find cute dress
Oooh, it's denim!

-->Find fitting room
Whyyy to employees in clothing stores always make you feel so awkward about using the fitting room, anyway?

Expand-->Is dress one size too small? Dammit. )

How to be Gratified: Guide 2

-->Go to second-hand shop
I love the second-hand shop!

-->Do they have cute denim dress very similar to dress in chain clothing store?
EEEEEE.

-->Inspect price sticker
...Ten dollars.

-->Run gleefully out of store with new dress
BEST. DAY. EVER.

And I'm not really out that much for the other one, it's just. I have never payed twenty-five dollars for a dress before. >_< It seems really kind of awful. But! I got a skirt that looks like origami at the second-hand shop for two dollars, so ha. And I also got, um, some new horror movies that I don't need. >_> Um. And the store also had Black Sheep, which I have been dying for for-ever (IT'S A HORROR MOVIE! WITH SHEEP! It's basically the movie version of what would happen if all my stuffed sheep on my bed ever came alive and decided they hated me! I really, really want it), but it was a new copy instead of used and cost fifteen dollars.

To-morrow I am going to Boston! And on Friday through August 3 I will be with [livejournal.com profile] mhari. Wheeee!
psalm_onethirtyone: (Stella Potens et Mira)
My idiot brother proposed to his girlfriend, finally! Now Val can't escape our family!

Also, thus far I have received a grand total of seven sheep. Happy Christmas, everybody!

OKAY OKAY I really want to take a shower and I am going to in just a minute here.

LJ is no longer letting me upload photos to my scrapbook account because it is evil, so here are some links to Facebook albums that may prove interesting:

Remember how I promised that I would post pictures of my new skirts and short hair, about eight years ago? Yeah. There's those.

Massive explosion of sheep! And my balloon octopus.

And hopefully this link works. It is photos that include Magridal, the winter formal here at school, to which I went. For obvious reasons, this is one of my favourites. Also OH LOOK, I had a date!

Also CHECK THIS OUT why YES that is FANART my friends. Moderne!Gaheris, aka littlebetter on Insanejournal. I am massively excited.

And now I am going to do Stuff. I have two finals this week! Joy.

1. I apparently can do a disturbingly convincing impression of Sarah Palin. I am not sure what to think of that, although it was fun to make Serena laugh so hard.

2. I have a new sheep; her name is Ilyana, to go with Nadya. I utterly love her with my whole heart. I also have three new skirts that I completely do not need, but Serena and I went into downtown Huntingdon to do some shopping, and we went to the thrift store, and it was a thrift store, and now I have a tiered lacy purple skirt and a tiered black skirt and a thick warm dark green button-up skirt that is a good Morgause colour. Also I have rainbow markers. So, you know.

3. I did massive amounts of homework! Which is a wonderful feeling, I cannot even tell you.

4. I also did my laundry, and I am currently wearing freshly laundered clothes and let me tell you that it is the best feeling in the whole world because they are warm and soft and smell good and eeeee. I am very happy. Also very sleepy.

5. It's fall break! There are like three people on campus. XD I love it.

Bonus! 6. There was originally supposed to be some important purpose to updating my LJ, but I actually can't remember for the life of me what it is.

Just a small post with a couple of shinies. A few days ago Maria and I went to an organic sheep farm, which was very exciting, especially as it was the most beautiful place in approximately the world. Especially as it contained an actual lock, from an actual canal. The lock is defunct now, but the stone walls are still there and the husband set up a fountain in the pool that emanates therefrom.

And the sheep graze in the old cemetery.

I plan to get into the will of these people if at all possible. :D It is incredible. At any rate, Maria had camera in hand the whole time, so here are a couple of photographs from it!

Good Things:

*[livejournal.com profile] mhari is coming in three weeks. That is probably the very best thing of them all.
*the Farm Show is on Wednesday.
*the new house is absolutely wonderful and I love my room and I love sleeping in it and ohmygod it's purple. It's a religious experience of purple. I'm so happy.
*Tim said although I could pass as Inara if I really tried, I was impossibly a Kaylee and it would always end up showing through. I think that's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me. ^_^
*I love my scarf.
*I'm almost done writing thank-you notes and things.
*the local newspaper is great.
*I can look out my window and SEE SHEEP. Lambs, specifically. Glee.
*I haven't had nightmares for a week (I usually have them every night).
*I thought I was going to have a panic attacks a couple of times this week, but I managed not to by staying very calm and taking deep breaths and reminding myself that I didn't want to disappoint my manager.
*quite a few people at work actually like me.
*[livejournal.com profile] mhari IS COMING IN THREE WEEKS.

Bad Things:
*I have to work to-day. XD
*I have no idea when we will have the internet again. Wednesday at the earliest, but possibly not even that soon. It is rather aggravating to have to drive half an hour every time I want to check my e-mail (also highly energy inefficient, which means that I can only do it on my way to work, so as not to waste gas).
*Tim's driving advice.
psalm_onethirtyone: (Red-Letter Day of Wishing)
They accepted me. And they gave me a scholarship.

I'm going to college.

Also, one of Paul's sheep dropped two lambs this week. Their tails haven't been clipped yet, and they're so long they reach the ground. They even stood still long enough for me to get some photographs.

And on the way home we saw a tom turkey in the tree over the Mahantango.

Luisa asked for photographs of the Oriental house, and whatever Luisa asks, Luisa gets. Especially from Soujin.

Update on sheep situation:

It turns out there are two, and I do not know whether they're male or female yet--their names are tentatively Rufus and Robin, but that's subject to change. They're weanlings, so they're not that tiny, and they need to be gentled badly. I need to get my driver's license so I can drive up every day to see them and get them used to me.

I'm so happy and excited. Bwee.

Waen is going to Cleveland to-morrow, so it's just me this weekend. Me with plenty to keep me busy. ^^ I finished Anna Karenina and have started Tom Jones. It reminds me of the Rise of Silas Lapham (which I finished yesterday). I also finished Peter and the Shadow Thieves, and I can just. see. that Mr. Barry wants to write another one, to which I can only say AUGH NO. On Friday I'll start I Am Mordred and as soon as that's done it will be me rereading The Savage Damsel and the Dwarf and snickering at everything in it because I am rilly mature. Also need to get out Rosemary Sutcliff books already, hi Soujin.

Easter lillies still are beautiful! Also, we have a bear. It has been chomping on stuff during the night.
psalm_onethirtyone: (SHEEEEEEEEEEEP)
OH MY GOD OH MY GOD I HAVE A LAMB I HAVE A LOT OF LAMBS OHHHH MY GOD. ^_____________________________________________________^

The brother of the couple who sold us the property, he has to keep his sheep there in our barn because he doesn't have room on his property, and we said of course that's okay, of course keep your sheep there, and to-day he told Mum, he said he has all new spring lambs and he was wondering if I'd like to help gentle them...!!!! Me, omg, lambs, omg, eeeeeeeeeee this is the most wonderful present ever--!
